On Tuesday night, Portuguese side Sporting announced the transfer of Félix Correia to Manchester City.
It’s been a few months that we’ve been covering claims about this move coming from the Portuguese press, so it wasn’t really a surprising development for the 18-year-old.
Since Sporting’s statement was really short, the local media comes up with a few details about the cost of the transfer.
Newspaper Record says the agreement was found some time ago, and since the player had been featuring in the U19 Euros, it was only made official now.
They claim Manchester City are paying €3.5m to sign the youngster. Other performance bonuses could take this amount to €15.5m.
Trusting the player’s potential, Sporting have also included a clause to keep 10% of a future transfer. Félix is signing a five-year deal with the English side.
This should be one of the many details between Manchester City and Sporting due to the new partnership between the clubs.
