Manchester United are back being linked to Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes this Thursday.

Newspaper A Bola now claims the Red Devils ‘even seem willing’ to pay the midfielder’s €100m release clause to take him from Lisbon.

The headline states ‘Manchester United prepare attack’.

Sporting’s intention would be to keep Fernandes for longer, but the newspaper makes it clear that if the Premier League side go for the release clause, then there’s nothing the Lions can do to hold him.

Fernandes has missed Portugal’s most recent matches due to an injury, and is now working to recover as soon as he can to help Sporting in the title race.

With 24 goals and 14 assists this season, it’s no wonder the midfielder is receiving attention from big clubs in the past few months.

Earlier this year, A Bola reported that Manchester United had held some meetings to talk about his signing. The outlet didn’t have any updates on that, but maybe the club became aware he’s only leaving in case the release clause is triggered.
