Manchester United and Barcelona have reportedly both made offers for Porto youngster Afonso Sousa.
It’s Portuguese newspaper O Jogo who reports it this week, saying there are several European giants who are interested in the 18-year-old.
The outlet claims that at least four other Premier League sides have also made contacts with the player’s former agent Carlos Gonçalves.
But despite the big report, O Jogo still doesn’t know the outcome of the Manchester United and Barcelona bids, and doesn’t bring any details on how much these clubs would like to pay for the youngster.
Afonso’s contract with Porto expires in 2019, and the Dragons are said to be currently in talks to renew it to avoid losing him for free next year.
Called up for all of Portugal’s youth levels, the midfielder is pointed out as one of the biggest talents in Porto’s academy.
Now that he’s not working with Carlos Gonçalves anymore, Afonso has his career managed by the former Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder Deco.
