Despite FC Porto’s expectation for a big auction for Moussa Marega this summer, it looks like things are not happening the way they wanted to.
Newspaper Correio da Manhã reports that despite contacts from Leicester City, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers, no big bids have arrived so far.
Moussa Marega is keen on leaving the Dragons this summer, and it’s claimed the club would be fine with it as long as they get a decent profit from the negotiation.
With the striker being protected by a €40m release clause, Porto’s expectation was to receive an offer of at least something close to that amount, but it hasn’t happened so far as the ‘approaches’ made by the Foxes, Hammers and Wolves haven’t reached that figure.
Marega has 21 goals and 11 assists to his name for Porto this season.His departure to the Premier League has been commented on a lot by the Portuguese media this year, but it seems it’ll only happen if Leicester City, West Ham or Wolverhampton show up and pay the required price.
Otherwise, Porto would have no problem holding onto a player whose contract runs until 2021.
