Despite having already said no to a loan to West Ham, Joao Mario is reconsidering a move to London Stadium, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The Portuguese midfielder, currently struggling to get into Luciano Spalletti’s plans at Inter, was said to be ‘averagely’ interested in teaming up with David Moyes, but it appears his lack of options could have changed his mind.

Thrown in there is also the fact that Walter Sabatini, the Serie A side’s technical director, has always been a big fan of Manuel Lanzini, wanting to bring him to Italy during his time in charge of transfers at AS Roma.

This is where Corriere dello Sport get their hopes up and suggest that some kind of exchange involving the two players could be on the cards, even if it seems very unlikely the Hammers would be willing to negotiate the Argentinian’s exit, such is his importance to the club’s plans going forward.

Going back to Joao Mario, if the Portugal international does indeed agree to move to West Ham, then the deal would be a loan with a view to buy at the end of the season.

Considering Inter paid over £35m for him in the first place, that clause is likely to be a high one, especially since Inter will want as much money as possible for their summer expenditure.
