Even though Famalicão are still to make Ruben Vinagre’s signing official, the Portuguese media continue to be pretty sure it should be announced imminently.
Newspaper O Jogo brings two stories on it today. One of them says the Wolverhampton Wanderers player has already had his medical and even trained with his new club.
It’s claimed that Vinagre is joining Famalicão on a six-month loan spell, and could even be available for their game against Porto on Friday.
Newspaper Jornal de Notícias says there’s a few documents left for the announcement, and Record claims there’ll be no buying option in the deal.
Now back to O Jogo, they have something to say about Braga as well. In another story, they claim that the club couldn’t find a deal with Wolves, and ended up choosing not to proceed with the signing. That’s when Famalicão had a chance to take him.
Ruben Vinagre spent the first part of the season on loan at Olympiacos, and since he didn’t get a lot of playing time, the Molineux side probably chose to send him somewhere else.
O Jogo points out he’s the fourth player arriving at Famalicão from Wolves, following the transfers of Pedro Gonçalves, Bruno Jordão and Leonardo Campana.
