Kevin De Bruyne’s knee injury this Wednesday got a big coverage from the world press, with most outlets showing worry about how long the Manchester City midfielder could be sidelined for.
But not all of them. Someone still managed to take something positive from it, and that was Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.
Reporting the injury this Thursday, the outlet writes that De Bruyne’s time out will actually help Bernardo Silva to have a place in the team.
They claim that the Belgian’s absence will let Silva play in central midfield, instead of being pushed out wide.
That’s where the Portuguese international plays better, according to them, and the picture’s caption says that Silva has made De Bruyne be ‘forgotten’ during the start of the season.
That’s definitely some lack of class from O Jogo, who could simply report De Bruyne’s injury and then say that the Portuguese midfielder is the one replacing him.
