Some people may have forgotten that, but Marlos Moreno is still a Manchester City player.
Bought from Atletico Nacional back in 2016, the Colombian signed a five-year deal with the Premier League side at the time, tying him to the club until 2021.
Moreno never played for Manchester City, having loan spells at Deportivo La Coruña, Girona, Flamengo and Santos Laguna.
Now he’s still to know where he will be playing next season, and it seems there’s a chance he could be joining the Portuguese league for the first time.
Portuguese newspaper O Jogo says Portimonense are interested in signing him and giving him a chance of finally succeeding at a club. Their sources are ‘people close to the player’.
The Liga NOS side currently have Jackson Martinez in their squad, and they believe the Colombian star could help Moreno in his adaptation to the club.
O Jogo doesn’t make it clear if Portimonense are interested in buying him or signing him on a loan deal, although the second option looks a lot more likely.
