British supporters always get some attention wherever they go, and it isn’t any different during their trips to Portugal.
As Rangers visit Porto for the Europa League today, several fans have already got to the country, and their arrival is covered by the local media today.
Newspaper O Jogo writes that a group of fans have been partying since last night, always dressed up accordingly and with ‘a lot of beer’.
It’s reported that some Rangers fans have done a minicruise down the Douro River, enjoying the good weather in the north of Portugal. The newspaper also highlights there’s been ‘no register of trouble’ so far.
About 2500 Rangers fans are expected to be watching the game at Estádio do Dragão tonight in hope Steven Gerrard’s side manage to overcome the Portuguese competition.
Newspaper O Jogo also highlights a warning from the Scottish side for the fans to act properly, otherwise the club will once again be punished by UEFA for their ‘bad behaviour’, and that’s something they clearly want to avoid.
