Catalan newspaper Sport report that Portuguese giants Porto and Benfica have both been left impressed by Bojan recently and would be keen on signing the Stoke City player.

It’s a favourable slant on Bojan, which is natural with it being a Catalan source, but aside from what the player may have done in preseason he only got half an hour against Leeds United at the weekend and was unable to influence the game much.

In more player PR, Sport say Bojan could become a ‘great reinforcement’ for either Porto or Benfica and the clubs are considering loan or permanent transfer options.

This all seems slightly strange, that both Porto and Benfica would, all of a sudden, decide Bojan is a major target for them and they’ve been blow away by his displays.

It would be a huge coincidence and certainly isn’t something that has been pushed in the Portuguese media, although it likely will be now.

Alternatively, there may be an agent at work trying to push the Stoke City player to one of the clubs mentioned.
