The future of Simone Zaza at West Ham is as confusing as it gets. The Italian forward has failed to find the back of the net in 10 appearances, and West Ham have a decision to make on him.
Reports suggest there is interest from Napoli in the 25-year-old, but there also have been claims the London club want to keep the Italian international until the end of the season at least.
Italian website Calciomercato reiterate those claims, as they believe West Ham are open to the new scenario after initially deciding to give up on Zaza. Napoli have Genoa’s Leonardo Pavoletti as their first choice option, but would be knocking on West Ham’s door should they fail to sign Pavoletti.
However, the Serie A club are hoping West Ham make the signing of Zaza permanent, as they want to avoid negotiations with Juventus. Napoli and the Turin club have poor relations and don’t want to get involved in a battle.
There are new claims on Zaza everyday, and it has come to the point when you start to believe the Italian media are clueless on Zaza’s future.
