Mauricio Pochettino is once again being linked with a move to Real Madrid.
With the Spanish club going through a rocky patch over the past few games, and seeing their season somewhat slip out of sight, Santiago Solari’s future is very much in doubt.
Thursday’s edition of Marca floats the idea of Zinedine Zidane potentially returning to the club, having quit at the end of last season.
That’s Florentino Perez’s plan, but there are other options which Real Madrid are considering.
Tottenham’s manager is one of them, and Marca point out he was also considered last summer, when Zidane announced he’d be leaving the club.
The move would be ‘relatively simple’ in terms of Pochettino settling in, with the former Espanyol player and manager having plenty of Spanish experience.
The Spurs boss is one of the ‘best placed’ options, and it’s explained his appointment would go down well with the club’s fans.
There’s no explanation over how Real Madrid would convinced Tottenham.
