Despite claims that the deal taking Fabio Silva from Wolverhampton Wanderers to Anderlecht on loan is stuck, that isn’t the case.
That’s according to Anderlecht-Online, who state that according to their own sources, the deal for the Portuguese forward ‘is said to have been sealed’.
In fact, ‘it should therefore not be long before the club will officially announce the transfer’ of loaning the Wolves player.
The young striker, despite showing a lot of promise at FC Porto, has struggled to showcase his full potential at Molineux since his arrival.
The 19-year-old made 26 appearances in all competitions under Bruno Lage last season, but failed to find the back of the net in any of them.
He did, however, provide three assists, one in the FA Cup and the other two in the EFL Cup, but it’s clear he needs to develop some more before having the desired impact at the top level.
That’s exactly why Wolves were happy to send him to Anderlecht for the season, which, according to the information above, should be announced sooner rather than later.
