It’s getting to the stage of the transfer window that deals are either succeeding or failing.

There’s not a great deal of brand new links being made and now it’s a case of clubs trying to get their first choice over the line, before desperately moving to choice second, third, fourth, fifth…

West Ham have been linked with more than their fair share of players during the winter market, and one of the more recent has been Abdoulaye Touré.

France Football have said more than once that the Hammers are keen on the Nantes captain, however, now they believe things are slipping away.

The player’s move to West Ham has been ‘greatly compromised in recent hours’. That’s because David Moyes’ side want a loan with a summer option to buy, whereas Nantes would prefer a straight transfer.

Nantes also aren’t keen on the amount of the buying option, with it being deemed insufficient.

Unless something changes quickly, the midfielder won’t be moving to the London club this month.
