A couple of days ago, we covered a report from the French press which stated Paul Pogba could force his way out of Manchester United in the summer.
For that to happen, the midfielder would use a FIFA rule which would allow him to buy out the remainder of his contract with the Red Devils, which runs until 2021.
The news got some big coverage around Europe, especially in Italy and Spain, where the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid are said to be interested in his signing.
Italian outlet Calcio Mercato have made a Q&A section with journalist Fabrizio Romano, and one of the questions was exactly about this possibility, but the reporter denied any chances.
“No, there is no such intention. Whoever wants Pogba will have to go to negotiate with Manchester United, who can activate the clause to renew until 2022 at any time. Juve know it, but they will be ready if he’s on the list of disposals.”
Responding to other questions, Romano still claimed that Paul Pogba is one of the ‘priorities’ that Juve have for the summer. But he’s also claimed that the Old Lady’s summer market will depend on the sales they make in the transfer window.
