Despite the long list of rich clubs who would like to sign Moussa Dembelé from Celtic, there’s also some optimism from Spanish side Sevilla they could land him this summer.
On Monday, local outlet Estádio Deportivo has taken the player’s recent quotes saying he wants to be in the French squad as a positive sign for the La Liga club. Dembelé has made impressive progress under Brendan Rodgers at Celtic, but pushing his way into the France team is going to be difficult whilst in the Scottish Premiership.
Estadio Deportivo claim that as many World Cup players have already made it to the tournament when playing for Sevilla, this is the ‘ace’ that the club hold to compete against all the money from other sides.
When recalling all the competitors who are keen on signing the Celtic striker in this transfer window, Estadio Deportivo also mentions AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint German, Chelsea, and Marseille.
But maybe Sevilla should be reminded that Celtic are not worried about the World Cup, and won’t sell the player unless they get the right money for him.
