Two days ago, various reports explained Everton have found an agreement with Lille for €36m plus €4m in bonuses to sign Amadou Onana.

It was also stated the 26-year-old was set to fly to England later that day and would carry out his Toffees medical on Saturday.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri took to Twitter to claim the midfielder has successfully completed his medical tests with Everton and has signed a five-year deal with his new club.

The transfer has still not been made official because of the Ligue 1 side. According to Tavolieri, Lille are ‘still hanging around’ to send one document called “the termination agreement”. He adds this document is ‘necessary’ to conclude the transfer.

Tavolieri further adds the ‘official announcement’ is ‘postponed’ to Sunday or Monday as the deal is ‘still pending’ because Lille have to send the ‘termination agreement’.

The Belgium international, for his part, has completed his medical tests with Everton. His transfer to Goodison Park should go through once the paperwork related to the operation is sorted out.
