VfB Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic will join Wolverhampton Wanderers before deadline day after being left out of the squad for this weekend’s clash against Cologne.
That’s according to Kicker, who say a move to Molineux will be tied up next week after weeks of speculation about the striker.
The cover a recent announcement from Stuttgart via social media, which made clear that Kalajdzic had missed team training today and would not be a part of their squad for tomorrow’s game due to his “wishes”.
They made no mention of an impending transfer or anything of that nature, but recent reports have linked Wolves with a move for the striker.
Kicker go one step further in their coverage, though, and say it is ‘obvious’ that Kalajdzic’s absence is because his departure is ‘getting closer and closer’.
With the window closing on Wednesday, they believe that the signs are ‘already pointing to a departure’ and the deal with Wolves will be wrapped up at some point next week.
Whether that is the case remains to be seen but the belief in Germany at least is that this exclusion is a clear sign Kalajdzic will be on his way to Wolves in the coming days.
