Last week, multiple claims from the Danish media stated Brighton & Hove Albion reached an agreement with Brøndby IF for Clement Bischoff to arrive at The Amex in the summer.

Four days ago, Tipsbladet reported the left-back was travelling to England to carry out the medical tests and to sign a contract until 2030 with the Seagulls.

A day later, the same outlet said the 19-year-old is millimetres away from joining Fabian Hürzeler’s side.

There’s been a new twist in this saga and at the weekend, the English media reported the two clubs failed to find an agreement. Tipsbladet, who have been covering this case over the past few days, provide their take on this case.

They state Brighton and Brøndby agreed €8m plus bonuses on Wednesday and a day later the Danish club gave the green light for his trip to England.

Tipsbladet explain Bischoff hasn’t signed the contract because his camp and the Premier League club went from ‘agreeing to disagreeing at the very last minute’.

They don’t provide an explanation over what led to this development, but the Denmark U21 international’s move to Brighton has collapsed for now.

The report states several clubs are keen on Bischoff and Brøndby are confident of cashing in from his sale in the summer.
