According to Greek website Snda.Gr, Newcastle United will need to cover most of Rolando Aarons’ wages if Panathinaikos have a realistic chance of landing the attacker.
It’s reported the Greek club are hopeful of reaching an agreement with Newcastle over Aarons and believe they can convince the Premier League side over a loan deal.
Snda say Newcastle would need to accept a similar deal with Pana to that they had with Slovan Liberec, when they loaned Aarons to the Czech Republic side last season.
According to Greek website, another important factor is Rafael Benitez. The Spanish manager has yet to confirm his stay with the Premier League club and if the former Liverpool manager stays at the club then Aarons is likely leave.
Earlier this week we covered claims from Greece that AEK are also interested in signing Aarons after securing qualification to the Europa League, having finished third in the league.
