Two years after leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Atlético Madrid, Kieran Trippier is wanted again in the Premier League, and especially by Manchester United.

The Red Devils want to sign the right-back to provide cover and competition to Aaron Wan-Bissaka next season.

Trippier played for England in Euro 2020 where they lost to Italy in the final and after finishing his vacation, he has resumed training under Diego Simeone’s orders. He joins a few other Los Rojiblancos players to return to preseason training.

Tuesday’s edition of Mundo Deportivo focuses on those players returning to training and this includes the 30-year-old.

Regarding the former Tottenham man, the newspaper states Trippier is ‘the one with the most open future’ and that’s because of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, who ‘continue to insist’ on signing the fullback in the summer.

The player, whose future remains uncertain, is considered an ‘important’ member of Simeone’s squad at the Spanish club.

Therefore, Atlético have set a €40m price tag for him to leave.

With Trippier resuming training and United pushing for his transfer, more developments could be expected if he asks Atlético to look for an exit this summer.
