Much like Lucas Torreira, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa is having a good time in Italy on loan from a club from London.

In his case, it’s Fulham who agreed to let him spend the year in Serie A to get some minutes at the highest level, with the Cottagers currently in the Championship following last season’s relegation.

Zambo Anguissa took to Italian football like a duck to water, and Napoli, who are the current beneficiaries, made it clear fairly soon after that they were interested in making the move permanent.

A fee of €15m or so was pre-agreed, but much like Fiorentina with the Uruguay international, they are going to try and lower that amount if they can.

That’s what Corriere dello Sport are saying on Thursday, making it clear that his future will be addressed ‘at the end of the season’, or rather ‘Napoli will pay Fulham what is needed’ to acquire him long-term.

His purchase ‘is not in question’, but the price is, as €15m is ‘the fixed amount’, but their director of football, Cristiano Giuntoli, ‘will try to file it down’ a bit.

Whether the Craven Cottage side will agree, however, remains to be seen, because they will want as much money as they can from this transfer, especially if the midfielder is playing well, giving them no reason to agree to a discount.
