Jesper Lindstrom will undergo his medical with Everton today before completing a loan move from Napoli.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who report the winger will have his medical today and then complete his move to Goodison Park.
TMW report that today is the day for Lindstrom, who is set to depart Napoli on a temporary basis just a year after signing from Eintracht Frankfurt in a €30m deal.
A deal to send him to Everton has now been fully completed and will see the Italian side take an initial €3m loan fee from the Blues, who will have an option to make the move permanent for a further €22m should they wish to do so next year.
The various parties are now defining the final contractual details on the move, but the transfer is in the final stages and Lindstrom is having a medical today before joining Everton.
Should they decide to buy him next summer, a ‘multi-year’ contract has already been worked out that would start at that point. That suggest Everton are confident he could be a success this season under Sean Dyche.
That remains to be seen of course but it seems the Toffees are one step away from finalising this transfer and adding the winger their squad has needed for some time.
Some may question the deal given Lindstrom’s struggles at Napoli last year but that was largely due to the success of others and the madness that surrounded the Italian club than anything on him personally.
If the Toffees get the player who shone at Eintracht, or even something close to that, then he could be one of the more impressive deals they do this summer.
