West Ham United defender Luizão seems to be attracting a list of clubs who’d like to sign him in the winter market.
An update on the defender’s situation is brought by Premier League Brasil, who claims the Hammers just received a couple of offers for the player’s departure.
It’s said that two Portuguese clubs tried to sign Luizão on a loan deal, and West Ham turned both down.
The Hammers reportedly don’t want to loan him out, as they only intend to negotiate his exit on a permanent deal.
The story recalls that Brazilian clubs Bahia, Botafogo, Cruzeiro and Fortaleza all tried to sign him as well, but West Ham have no wish to loan him back to his home country either.
Luizão hasn’t made a single appearance under David Moyes this season. Since he’s not used and not loaned either, it’s said that his entourage is getting ‘concerned’ about his situation.
His contract with West Ham runs until 2026, and it indeed seems strange if the club won’t let him spend the rest of the season somewhere else.
