In the past few days, we’ve seen many rumours about the future of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.
With the player not getting many minutes at Spurs this season, it was claimed he could be on his way to Spain or Italy in the January transfer window.
However, according to a fresh report from Mundo Deportivo, Lo Celso is not keen on leaving Tottenham so soon.
The outlet writes that the midfielder wants to ‘improve his chances of succeeding’ at Spurs, and that’s why he doesn’t plan to move in the middle of the season.
The information comes from people close to Lo Celso, with Mundo Deportivo adding that he actually has a chance to play more at the club.
Manager Ange Postecoglou reportedly ‘made it clear’ he doesn’t want the Argentine to leave. And as soon as the player is back from injury, he ‘hopes to be decisive’ in the team again.
That’s definitely a game changer to the recent rumours, and if the story is right, Tottenham shall see a change in midfield in the coming months.
