Player’s Arsenal exit has ‘never been so close’ – Club currently waiting for ‘yes’

Willian’s departure from Arsenal now seems like a matter of time.

The latest reports from Brazil say the winger is edging towards a move back to his old club Corinthians.

ESPN Brasil journalist Bruno Vicari now claims the move has got ‘heated’, and the agreement ‘has never been so close’.

Corinthians are said to be waiting for the ‘yes’ to know things are done.

The reports about Willian’s return to Corinthians have been around for the whole week, and it’s no secret that there are two issues slowing the deal. One is the Brazilian side’s difficulty to pay for the transfer, and the other is the player’s preference to stay in Europe.

It’s been claimed that Corinthians can only get the move in case Arsenal loan the player and continue to pay a big part of his salary. Now we wait and see if that’s really what is happening for the move to be so close.
