The Piotr Zielinski saga could be coming to an end, and that’s not good news for Liverpool fans who wanted him to be signed.
Wednesday’s edition of Corriere Dello Sport says that AC Milan have made a strong approach for the player, with the intention of paying around €18m for him.
On Milan’s competition, Corriere says that Napoli have turned their attentions to other targets, and Zielinski’s club Udinese haven’t heard from Liverpool for a while.
The 22-year-old wanted a move to Anfield, but according to the newspaper, he wouldn’t say no to Milan as an alternative. His agent is expected to meet the Rossoneri representatives by the end of this week.
Reports from last week said Udinese didn’t want to sell him to Liverpool, and would prefer sending him to the Italian rivals from Napoli instead. Maybe that’s what made the Reds give up on the race, although the player could end up joining neither.
