Earlier this month, Tottenham Hotspur were mentioned as a potential suitor for Juventus midfielder Nicolo Fagioli.
It was suggested that the Italian’s agent is listening to offers from clubs outside Italy and that he has been excluded from the project at the Turin giants.
TuttoSport, as relayed by IlBianconero, have added more information about Tottenham’s interest in Fagioli.
They state that while Fulham, Crystal Palace and West Ham have made contact for the midfielder, the 23-year-old would prefer moving to a bigger club.
That is where Tottenham’s name is brought up and it is stated that Ange Postecoglou’s side wanted Fagioli about 18 months ago and he would be attracted by a move to Spurs.
Tottenham is seen as a ‘more prestigious’ option than other clubs and while there is also interest from Marseille, the Ligue 1 side have financial issues to sort.
As of now, Tottenham will have to shell out between €25m and €30m to sign Fagioli, who remained on the bench for Juventus in their 4-0 win over Cagliari in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday.
