It’s been a busy day for Simon Mignolet, which he needs considering he isn’t getting any time on the pitch for Liverpool, as he released his own coffee brand.

The news came from Het Nieuwsblad, who also briefly spoke to the Reds goalkeeper about his future, where the answer was the same as it always is: he wants to play but is under contract at Liverpool.

Well, according to DH in Belgium, that might not be the case for much longer, as the outlet report on Thursday that Liverpool want to part ways with the 31-year-old.

They state the former Sunderland goalkeeper is ‘too expensive’ to keep around as a number two, and the only reason why he was kept this season was the potential question marks surrounding Alisson’s long-term quality.

With those doubts now long forgotten as the Brazilian continues to impress, the door has opened for the Belgian, and barring an injury to the Roma shot stopper, Mignolet ‘will not be at Liverpool next year’.

Until then, however, it’s said he and the Premier League club are refusing to discuss anything, just in case something were to happen to Alisson.

We’re guessing everyone, including Mignolet, will have their fingers crossed for the Brazilian’s health, then?
