On August 19th, Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported Adnan Januzaj wants to join Everton and has turned down approaches made by other clubs, favouring a move to the Merseyside club.
He had also said the Toffees are interested in the 27-year-old and have his name on their list in the event Anthony Gordon were to make a move elsewhere.
The winger is currently without a club since leaving Real Sociedad as a free agent at the end of last season. Frank Lampard’s side have an opportunity to sign him for nothing, and aren’t pressured by the close of the window.
Tavolieri took to Twitter to provide a new update on the Belgium international. He states the player has received interest from Venezia FC and they have asked about his possible arrival in Italy.
Januzaj has requested a salary of ‘€3m net per year’ and this is difficult to achieve for the Serie B side. A potential move to Venezia may also be difficult because the attacker is ‘still waiting for Everton’ to make an approach and secure his services.

It needs to be seen whether the former Manchester United man can return to the Premier League and join Everton or if he’ll have to settle for a move elsewhere.
