Fotomac claim Galatasaray are back in the race for Jason Denayer, with the Turkish club preparing a loan bid for him. Manchester City owned Denayer spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and was very keen to join Turkish side again, but Pep Guardiola blocked the deal and he joined Sunderland instead.
Fotomac claim Denayer’s preferred destination is Galatasaray and he’ll turn down AC Milan and Brighton & Hove Albion in order to join Turkish club. Brighton have already secured promotion to the Premier League, and it would be no surprise if Chris Hughton is already looking to add to squad.
Denayer has repeatedly been used as a central midfielder by David Moyes and couldn’t do much to stop Sunderland’s slide to the Championship. Now another loan spell is on the agenda for the Belgian defender and Galatasaray are keen.
The 22-year old is reportedly missing Istanbul life and wants to team up with his old teammates again if the opportunity arrives. Galatasaray are looking to sign at least two central defenders for next season and their manager Igor Tudor gave the board the green light the to sign Denayer.
Given Guardiola’s preference for Denayer to join Sunderland last summer, the Manchester City manager may well plump for Brighton over Galatasaray, but the defender could push for more of a say this time.
