Leicester City lost N’Golo Kanté to Chelsea in 2016 and the Foxes replaced the France international by signing his compatriot Nampalys Mendy.
The 27-year-old arrived at the King Power Stadium from Nice and has made 40 starts in the league since the start of the 2016/17 season.
This term, he has played for just over 200 minutes in the Premier League and with a contract expiring on June 30th, he ‘will leave’ the club in the summer.
This is according to Le10 Sport and they further go on to add the defensive midfielder is in talks with clubs from Italy and Turkey.
Mendy’s contract situation with the English side makes him an interesting prospect and the report states after failed talks over a move to China, he is in ‘advanced discussions’ with two clubs.
It’s claimed the player’s agent is in contact with Trabzonspor and Serie A side Udinese.
There’s no mention which of these two clubs are leading the chase for Mendy, but it’s seen as clear that he will leave Leicester in the upcoming window.
