There’s more than one take on Vicente Guaita to Crystal Palace in Friday’s edition of AS.

As well as a look at the disagreement over whether he should be sold for €8m or €4m, AS say it’s one of the big stories surrounding Getafe’s match against Malaga tonight.

The other story surrounding the game is that Malaga manager Michel could be sacked if his side lose.

AS explain Guaita has an offer from Crystal Palace which would see him ‘earn more money than he can spend’, but the club want more money than is currently on offer.

Guaita didn’t play last weekend with an injury which has been questioned, and then his attitude came in for criticism. Suddenly, Guaita was back in training and expected to play against Malaga, now he’s not expected to start the match because of the transfer situation.

Getafe fans are said to be conflicted, having great respect for the goalkeeper after he stayed with them following relegation, but feeling he’s pushing in an unconventional way for an exit which is ‘for money’.

Guaita is 31 years of age, he was previously at Valencia, mainly as a squad player.

This isn’t a footballer who will have had a string of massive contracts, and now coming into the autumn of his career it’s got to be understandable that he’s keen on a big deal.

However, at the same time it’s understandable if Getafe and the club’s fans are angry at the way he’s trying to force what they’ll see as a cut price move midway through the season.
