Real Madrid flop Eden Hazard has been warned against making a return to Chelsea, as it could be as bad an idea as joining the Spanish side has proven to be.
Hazard currently finds himself on the periphery at the Bernabeu, with injuries continuing to limit his availability to Carlo Ancelotti.
In his absence, he has been firmly supplanted by Vincius Junior, who is finally establishing himself as the star of the show for the Spanish giants.
It means Hazard’s chances of turning things around at the club are slim at best, with his move from Chelsea firmly a disaster level signing at this point.
He had been one of the best players in the world during his time at Stamford Bridge but has managed just five goals and 10 assists in 59 games since arriving in Spain.
He’s likely to be moved on at some point, and it’s been regularly suggested that he should return to one of his former clubs, Chelsea or Lille, to rediscover the spark. Le Soir journalist Jonas Bernard has warned against that, though.
“I think Chelsea would be almost as big a mistake as staying at Real,” the newspaper report him saying.
“He will end up as a player among many others. Maybe it would be better if he ended up at a club where he appears as the star player and finds that famous pleasure again.”
