Having been on loan at Premier League club Sunderland this summer, N’Zogbia may well have thought he’d get a shot at English football again, and the money which comes with it.

L’Equipe report in their Friday edition that N’Zogbia has asked for a ‘time of reflection’ and is now giving serious thought to the prospect of Nantes, rather than just jumping at the chance.

His entourage had already agreed a contract with Nantes for the 30 year old, so now may not be entirely thrilled that he’s pressed pause on the whole thing.

L’Equipe say that as it stands, Nantes are the only club to have actually made N’Zogbia an offer, but it would appear he’s giving it a few days to see if anyone else swoops in with a better deal.
