It’s been a few months since Xherdan Shaqiri started getting linked to a summer exit from Liverpool.

Even though there haven’t been strong claims about negotiations for his transfer, several stories from Italy have been pointing out Serie A as a destination, as the winger would be ready for a new challenge for his career.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg claims that ‘after many requests’, he’s chased information on this case.

It’s reported that there are ‘still no interesting offers’ for Shaqiri so far, as there are ‘no negotiations with any club’. Still, it’s made clear that the player ‘wants to leave Liverpool’ this summer.

The Anfield side are said to be demanding €10m for his transfer, while Shaqiri asks for a salary of between €3m and €4m.

The winger only had 819 minutes under Jurgen Klopp last season, having first struggled with muscle injuries, then spending most of the time on the bench. His contract with the Reds runs until 2023.
