On Friday Bild were abundantly clear: Naby Keita can move to Liverpool in January as long as the club pay an extra €20m.

According to the newspaper that would make the total cost €95m and RB Leipzig would happily send the midfielder to Anfield before the end of the month.

In one article, Bild repeated that stance several times, and it’s believed Keita’s concentration is drifting more towards Liverpool, meaning Leipzig are less determined to keep him.

On Saturday Bild carry things on.

Keita is right now playing for his club against Schalke, and the German newspaper state ‘then he wants to go straight to Liverpool’.

It’s even suggested that a poor performance from Keita could further underline Leipzig’s stance they’ll let him move this month… of course for the €20m.

In Germany the hints continue that Jurgen Klopp is closing in on his man, but Liverpool will need to back their manager financially.

Clubs know how much Liverpool ended up with at the end of the Coutinho saga, and that’s giving RB Leipzig, and no doubt others, confidence in asking for big fees themselves.

The food chain of transfers sees clubs wanting Liverpool’s money.

Update: Naby Keita has scored, so much for him playing badly!
