Mousa Dembele has one year left on his contract at Tottenham Hotspur and his agent, Tom De Mul, had earlier admitted the midfielder isn’t in a rush to extend his contract.

According to Belgian publication Het Laatste Nieuws, the former Fulham star has decided against extending his stay with the north London club because he has set his sights on leaving Tottenham this summer.

Dembele is currently with the Belgium squad, preparing for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He will turn 31 years of age on July 16th and the midfielder fears his body will not be able to take one more year in the Premier League.

Therefore, he wants to leave his current employers in the summer transfer window. We mentioned about reported interest from Juventus and Inter Milan in signing Dembele on June 12th. HLN now claims AS Roma and Napoli have joined the race for the player’s signature.

Dembele’s representatives are currently in Italy and will negotiate with AS Roma and Napoli.

It is still not clear whether the Serie A outfits will be able to meet Tottenham’s “high” financial demands. The Spurs star is also open to the idea of moving to China.
