Fenerbahce striker Vincent Janssen has spoken to Turkish newspaper Sabah about his future at the club.
The Dutchman is currently on loan with the Turkish side form Tottenham Hotspur.
The 23 year old made his return from injury last weekend and could play an important role in the closing stages of the season.
Speaking to Sabah, Janssen was asked about returning to Tottenham and whether he wanted to remain at Fenerbahce: “I am enjoying it here. It has been a very good year for me so far. Hopefully, it’ll continue. If my club allows me to stay.”
Janssen has missed a large chunk of the season due to a foot injury, but Fenerbahce are said to be impressed with the Tottenham player’s work ethic and professionalism.
Only yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that Fenerbahce manager Aykut Kocaman has instructed the board to sign Janssen at least for another season on loan.
The Netherlands international doesn’t seem to be in Tottenham’s long term plans, and remaining in Istanbul could be a good option for the player. Spurs would likely prefer a permanent transfer.
