Rafa Mujica’s future continues to be up in the air, and with only a week left of the transfer window things will need to move quickly for the Leeds United owned player.
The 22-year-old was loaned to Real Oviedo in the summer market, with the deal lasting for the full season. However, he’s only been given 50 minutes in LaLiga2 so far this campaign, and Oviedo won’t stop him leaving for another club this month.
Leeds United signed the forward when Barcelona allowed his contract to expire, and before moving to the Catalan club he was in the youth system of Las Palmas. The Canary Island club are thought to be interested in taking him back, presumably on loan, in the winter market.
A week ago it was reported that Mujica and Oviedo are waiting for the Premier League club to sort out the player’s future, presumably by sending him to Las Palmas or elsewhere.
That hasn’t happened yet, and La Voz de Asturias, a newspaper local to Oviedo, report that the attacker continues to train as normal, waiting for developments.
It’s still thought he’s likely to leave this month, however, Victor Orta and Leeds United are yet to finalise Mujica’s next step.
