Andre Carrillo’s transfer from Benfica to Watford is all over the Portuguese newspapers today, as the move now seems to be imminent.

Several outlets have the exact same information, and we’ll just take A Bola as an example. They say the player’s agent Elio Casareto is currently in Lisbon to sort out the last details and Carrillo is just waiting for the green light so he can travel to England, have his medical and sign a contract.

Watford are expected to pay €1m for the loan deal, plus the player’s salary and bonuses included in his contract with Benfica. The option to buy him permanently at the end of the spell should be placed at €15m.

A Bola claims Watford manager Marco Silva already tried to sign the player for Hull City in January, and is now finally close to getting his man on the second attempt. They worked together during their time at Sporting a couple of years ago.

Despite the agreement being close, A Bola claims the negotiations are ‘still not finished’, and Carrillo is training at Benfica as he waits for the final handshake.
