Tottenham Hotspur travelled to South Korea at the weekend, as part of the club’s preseason plans.
Several players were left in London, training at Spurs’ facilities instead of being part of Antonio Conte’s squad. Naturally, and likely accurately, the assumption has been the players left behind could leave the club this summer, and aren’t part of the Italian manager’s plans.
Bryan Gil did make the trip, despite there being interest in Spain. The 21-year-old was sent to Valencia on loan for the second half of last season and managed to impress, even if the plaudits did dry up a little as the games went by.
Valencia had been linked with a fresh move for Gil, but it’s now Real Sociedad who are being pushed forward.
Spanish journalist Roberto Ramajo, covered by Estadio Deportivo, has stated La Real are looking at three options for their attack: Bryan Gil, Takefusa Kubo and Rafinha.
Gil and the clubs interested in him are ‘waiting for Antonio Conte’ to make a decision on whether he wants to keep the Spaniard for the coming season. That could depend on how the youngster performs during preseason.
