Manchester City winger Jesus Navas is still waiting for Sevilla to offer him a contract so he can move back to Spain in the summer. The Spain international joined Manchester City from Sevilla in 2013, but this season he’s seen his chances limited.

Marca have reported Navas wants to return to his former club at the end of the season when he will be a free agent. The winger’s current deal with Manchester City expires in June, meaning the Spanish player can now speak to other clubs with regards to a pre-contract agreement.

This came into effect in January, but 100 days on Navas is still waiting for Sevilla to make an approach.

Marca say the Manchester City player has already enrolled his child into a school in the Sevilla area for the next academic year, and the club are still interested in taking the player back.

However, with the uncertainty over Sevilla sporting director Monchi’s future at the club, a decision on signing Navas can’t be made at this stage.

Navas has spent four seasons at Manchester City after the 31-year-old joined the club for £14.9m. The Spaniard has played over 100 Premier Leagues games for the club, but under Pep Guardiola his appearances have been restricted.
