Club Brugge rising star Charles de Ketelaere has been urged to make the move to England this summer if the likes of Leicester City come calling.
The young Belgian striker is one of the hot up and coming young players in Europe, having racked up 17 goals and nine assists in 41 games in all competitions for Brugge this season.
Those are the kind of numbers which make clubs take notice, particularly as De Ketelaere is only 21-years-old and has plenty of development left.
Leicester are known to be big fans of the young striker and have been linked with a move for months, with it explained in February that they have the signing ‘in their sights’.
That followed reports they were ‘charmed’ by the youngster and that he was being ‘closely followed’ by those in charge at the King Power.
The growing belief is that Leicester could look to add him to their forward line this summer, and analyst Jan Mulder believes a move to the Premier League would be better for his development than elsewhere.
“Charles will, of course, continue his career abroad. I am curious which choice he will make,” he told Sport/Voetbal Magazine.
“Spain and Italy are not that interesting anymore; England has the most money. But above all: you can develop the best there.
“Robin van Persie went from Feyenoord to Arsenal at the time, and six months later, he had become twice as good.
“Because of the high tempo, because of the intensity that makes you physically stronger as well.
“Charles could also handle the level of the Bundesliga, but in the Premier League, he will make even more steps.”
