Cenk Tosun really wants his Everton career to work out.

That may seem against the odds right now but the striker hasn’t given up, something which has been reported repeatedly in the Turkish press over the past few months.

It’s been claimed over and over again that he’s not been short of offers, pretty much any Super Lig club would welcome him with open arms, and Besiktas would treat it like a much loved son coming home.

Him arriving at the airport in Istanbul would be some sight, fans would pack the place out.

But it’s not to be, reports Fanatik journalist Gökmen Özcan.

He says that Tosun has rejected seven official offers to leave Everton, and more loose approaches too.

Those offers are said to have come from Besiktas, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, Crystal Palace, Valencia, Zenit and Schalke.

There may be some truth behind the claims, because several of those clubs have been linked with endless options to sign a striker this month.

Should Everton want to see the back of their player they’re clearly going to have to tell him in no uncertain terms.
