Divock Origi to Marseille has been a rumour increasing in the French media this week.
That’s no surprise, Origi needs to get more minutes on the pitch, and Jurgen Klopp will likely allow a transfer on good terms, if only a loan initially.
Marseille also need a striker, having spent all summer giving fans the impression a big name forward is on the way. With just a few days left, those promises need to be fulfilled, and things are getting increasingly desperate.
L’Equipe look at the situation in their Tuesday edition, and Rudi Garcia is said to be keen on Origi. The pair worked together at Lille, and Garcia has encouraged Marseille to explore the possibility of a deal.
Agent links are believed to be of help, with L’Equipe saying the Liverpool player is represented by the same group as Marseille’s Maxime Lopez.
Origi’s father is also prominent in the player’s career, so it won’t just be a matter of pleasing agents.
The Liverpool striker has a ‘concrete proposal’ from Marseille, and is currently considering his future.
