Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte is now bringing some details of Fred’s last moves before being announced as Manchester United’s newest signing.
As reported by the website, the player left Brazil’s friendly match against Croatia at Anfield Road on Sunday and travelled to Manchester, where he spent the night.
Fred had his medical at Carrington while his agents Fábio Mello and Gilberto Silva reviewed the five-year contract he’s signing with the Red Devils.
According to Globo Esporte, the agents were pretty impressed with Manchester United’s facilities once they finally got to explore the club’s headquarters.
Interestingly, instead of signing the contract in Manchester, the player travelled to London by car, and is now set to make the move official at the club’s office in the capital.
Manchester United are expected to pay Shakhtar Donetsk around €55m for the transfer. There doesn’t seem a lot holding back the announcement once Fred gets that paperwork signed.
