A report from Globo Esporte now claims that the goalkeeper has already travelled to England for his medical and should soon sign a contract with the Reds.
Meanwhile, Corinthians continue to wait for the City Ground side to pay the player’s release clause.
Nottingham Forest are set to spend €4m on the signing, and the payment is expected to be made in the coming days. The Brazilian club are anxious about that, as they’re currently 19th in the league table and will use that money to spend on reinforcements later this month.
West Ham had also been said to be interested in Carlos Miguel, but the Reds won the race and should now make the signing official very soon.
