Kiko Casilla ‘travelled in the night’ to Yorkshire, report Marca in their Wednesday edition.
Once the goalkeeper had skipped training with Real Madrid on Tuesday, it was pretty obvious that the transfer was getting very close to being completed.
There were several reports in Spain as the day went on and it was explained Casilla will be leaving Madrid on a free transfer.
He was waiting to travel yesterday, and Marca believe he’s already in England and ready to complete all the details needed, including medical, so a transfer can be announced.
The Championship club have made an effort with the personal terms on offer, and Casilla is said to be ‘satisfied’ with the financial package which has been presented to him.
Marca say it’s expected the transfer will be completed ‘in the coming hours’.
Back at Real Madrid, Luca Zidane will be promoted to third choice goalkeeper and leave the club’s Castilla second string.
With Thibaut Courtois injured, it means Zidane will be on the bench for Madrid as Keylor Navas faces Leganes.
