Following reports from the English media claiming Manchester City are set to take Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, it seems things are moving quickly for this transfer to happen.

Earlier we covered claims from Germany which said Haaland had been given time off on Monday to sort out a personal issue, with the big hint being it was related to his move.

Foot Mercato now writes that after choosing the Premier League side, the player already travelled for his medicals ahead of the transfer.

Their report claims that Halland travelled today to Brussels, followed by Manchester City doctors. There, at the Erasmus Hospital, he was set to have the medical tests ahead of a move.

According to Foot Mercato, his return to Dortmund is now scheduled for this evening.

The report then takes claims from German outlet Sport1 to say that Haaland’s transfer to Manchester City could be made official as early as this week.

At Borussia Dortmund since January 2020, the striker holds a record of 85 goals and 23 assists in only 88 appearances for the Bundesliga side.

Now it seems a matter of time until we can see how he does in the Premier League.
